I’m shocked at what an unpopular thought this is. Like… If you go out in public, there’s a very real risk that people in public will see you. If that’s a concern you have, then you should take steps to not be seen in public. To me, that would mean not making my presence obvious when visiting a bar.
Camera or not, if people are looking for you, they will find ways to look for you in public places. You should always assume you’re being watched, because you probably already are.
Defying the Supreme Court would set an extraordinarily terrible precedent. This only works if the masses are doing the defying. And it’s incredibly risky, as the Republicans would very quickly follow suit
The point isn’t the “excuse”, it’s the criticism over him not having full power behind his voice during the debate being irrelevant.
Which is incidentally the only real criticism I could see this morning, beyond people falsely claiming he was incoherent. Which he absolutely was not.
The biggest thing people are complaining about was Biden was a little hoarse against Trump’s booming nonsensical rambling.
I don’t care if Biden was hoarse. At Trump’s best, he made no sense, and at his worst, he was pushing terrible ideologies
How is it that the general response to this debate is “Trump rambled nonsensically and told conflicting lies and wants to undermine democracy, but Biden was recovering from a cold, so he’s unfit.”
Like in what world are these issues comparable?
I have such bad things to say about recruiters. They generally don’t have a clue about any of the skills related to the jobs I’m after, and they take a huge cut of the pay the entire time I’m working the job.
On the other hand, the two best jobs (highest pay and best working environment) I’ve had in my career, I got through recruiters, so I acknowledge them as a useful business when it works out. The last one has led to the company buying my contract and hiring me directly for the past 12 years
I’m not sure what it is “for” exactly, but in practice it tends to show a lot of brand new posts with zero comments or votes
My experience says a lot of these people bought into the “fake news” narrative, where they conveniently don’t believe anything presented to them, no matter how digestible – unless it reinforces things they already believe.
My mother goes on about how “science” can be used to prove anything, and “science” gets it wrong so often, so she won’t believe anything she reads. While turning around and saying she found out Planned Parenthood is harvesting and selling baby parts, which is why they want mass abortions across the US

While true, I think the bigger responsibility is for Congress to disregard any electoral votes for an ineligible candidate, and that’s going to be a much tougher fight.
Anything being decided at the state level just feels like theatrics and largely meaningless, especially in states that are very unlikely to win for Trump in the first place.
I don’t understand why they federate together at all. Microblogs are different types of discussions from threads, and shouldn’t be mixed up this way.
If anything, they should be completely separate sections of the site so you can browse the microblogs if you want.

WSL has replaced my use of the command prompt in Windows for anything (and I used it more than most, I think).
In my job, I develop Linux applications to support industrial automation, and WSL is capable of building and running most of what I make. It isn’t a full Linux machine, and can behave unexpectedly when trying to do things like changing certain network configurations.
So it’s great for what it’s for, really. But if you want a full VM, this isn’t really for that.

I would like to point out that Tuvok is not the only prominent Vulcan who has let emotions get the better of him once in a while.
I would go further and argue that Vulcans all recognize that they are inherently emotional, and strict denialism is just part of the way they build the logical society and mindset that they desire. Tuvok is honestly the first Vulcan they showed properly dealing with that, despite his attempts to blow it off by refusing to talk about it with others.
The other Vulcans we saw tended to leave it at the surface level, and then we didn’t get to see the internal struggles like we did with Tuvok
