Apple will reportedly ditch the outside screen to make it more affordable for interested buyers, and instead of the $3,500 price, it would set it at around $1,500 to $2,000.
That’s still way too expensive for what it offers.
I use Heroic Launcher, it supports GOG and the Epic Store, but adding DRM-free games to it is also as easy as Lutris.
I’ve been eyeing Quest Master lately. This game is essentially “Zelda Maker” with an in-depth level creator and a lot of heart. Unfortunately, it’s not discounted this summer sale.
I understand that with wine/proton prefixes they should be installed to a “fake c:/ windows hierarchy” can I just compress that and copy to a different Linux machine?
Yup, your save games are in your wine prefix so feel free to back them up and just use them again. Note that the game itself isn’t necessarily in the prefix, you could have installed it elsewhere.
Does it save which proton version was used?
I don’t think so, but it shouldn’t matter. You can change versions any time and it’ll just update your prefix.
If I use something like Lutris or bottles can I import into them?
Yes, you can set the prefix path to that folder you copied and it should pick up where you left things.
It’s currently number 11 in the LMSys chatbot leaderboard. It’s sitting above Llama 3 and Claude 3 Sonnet.
we have internal confirmation that the rabbit team is aware of this leaking of api keys and have chosen to ignore it.
Lmao, I guess nobody’s surprised. A scam is a scam.
we will not be publishing any more details out of respect for the users
Kind of lame, I was hoping they’d brick every r1 device just out of spite. Let it be a cautionary tale for whoever was dumb enough to buy one.
Huh, I thought UAE already did this since that’s how Saudi Arabia abortion laws work.
The people working on Snapdragon X Elite are supposedly the same people that worked on the M1 and M2 chips. They made their own company to make ARM chips before being acquired by qualcomm. I was hoping for similar gains…
Most of the reviews I’ve seen so far are a bit lukewarm. Performance and bettery is good, but they’re barely better than what Intel and AMD offer. They promised 20+ hours battery life, we get around 12-13 which is in line with other chips.
The screenshots in the article are from Dave2D’s video which compared gaming laptops to the X Elite. Laptops without a dedicated GPU could outperform it in battery, and are usually cheaper. Not to mention the new generation of chips are reportedly way more efficient. Kind of underwhelming.
I need to go to australia to see what this ‘plane’ thing is all about
Stability AI crashed and burned so fast it’s not even funny. Their talent is abandoning ship they’ve even been caught scraping images from Midjourney, which means they probably don’t have a proper dataset.
Alan Wake 2 isn’t American Nightmare, that’s an expansion. There isn’t a protondb page of alan wake 2 because it’s not on Steam
The average person doesn’t even know that new hardware is coming because the only thing MS is advertising is “AI AI AI AI AI AI AI”. Is that seriously more appealing than saying “hey our new laptops have better performance and 2x more battery life than older laptops”? Because I’m feeling the latter is what they should’ve leaned on.
With that in mind we are announcing updates that will go into effect before Recall (preview) ships to customers on June 18.
I doubt they can do much with last-minute changes. It being opt-in is better, at least.
our review units of the new Surface hardware are being delayed by a week or so, presumably so Microsoft can update them.
GROAAAAAAAN. I just want to see proper benchmarks of Qualcomm’s new chips and they keep delaying it despite the laptops releasing later this month.
Aside from that, people spamming about Pixelfed are missing the point that this is also a deviantart alternative. The landing page showing tons of art you might be interested in is great.
Also Pixelfed would straight up share their images to other servers that might allow web scraping bots which is part of the reason they made this website.
Everyone that wants context should read this: https://lunduke.substack.com/p/the-internet-archives-last-ditch
Listen, I love the IA and everything they stand for, but they’re not winning this. They fucked up and gave away copyrighted content, for free, in unlimited amounts during covid. They then proceed to melt down in court because they know it’s impossible to win. Now they’re seeking empathy from everyone and not talking about why they got sued - which is giving away potentially millions of copies of other people’s work…
Oh no… Are they running it entirely on serverless functions? What a disaster. I’m surprised the website is still up, is the owner not worried about going bankrupt?
Wow. Now there’s even MORE wasted space.
It’s honestly kind of amazing that it lasted so long in the first place
People said the same thing when the original Vision Pro came out. Aside from some rich people flexing that they own one, I haven’t heard anything about it after one week of release.
