    “Sons”

    By my reading, this is a story about two daughters, one of whom had a supportive, loving family that accepted her for who she was, while the other ended up in what amounted to conversion “therapy” under a misinformed psychologist.

    I looked up that psychologist. His name is Kenneth Zucker. Turns out he was ultimately fired and his clinic closed in 2015, in large part because what they were doing was basically torture for that poor girl.

    I hope now, 16 years later, she’s free and can be the person she wants to be.

      Which, in general, is all a trans person needs. Love and acceptance for who they are.

      And it’s so sad that something so simple can’t be given to them by their families so often.

      Exactly. Who the hell does it really hurt if your kid wants to wear dresses? Bigoted adults shouldn’t get to dictate what children wear or do not wear. I too hope that women gets to have all the dresses and pink and barbies she wants when she is finally free of her family.
