I mean, I’d rather he have no kids, so I agree that him being the father should be an exception.

Hmmm… A department of Justice press release written in 2021 praising a current administration effort. Sounds like something that must be 100% factual and not written for any other reason than pure truthiness.
I was gonna say “Clearly you’ve never been in the desert!” but then you mentioned playing in the sandbox and I get that.
That said, even in Texas, a good 90% of the summer is “Going outside will sting, staying outside will burn in a matter of moments” weather. I’ve had those 110°+ days and those “So far below zero the LCDs in your car freeze” days of Upstate NY during a lake effect blizzard and all I can say is, both suck.
That said, I prefer the cold. This is coming from a prior cold weather injury as well but I fall back on “No bad weather, just bad gear.”
My Dell XPS 13 (Windows) will kill it’s battery if you look at it funny… Or don’t look at it at all.
One time, I fully shut down the laptop and put it in my carry-on.
When I took it out after my flight, my bag was suspiciously warm and the battery was fully dead. Power management on Linux might be a joke but Dell is certainly the Carlos Mencía of the comedy club. At least I know my enemy now though. I unplug the battery to turn it ‘off’.
I mean, Fossil ended support for my Gen 5 a while back and… It still works. I mean, I mostly use it as an alarm and “ability to feel my phone vibrate when ringing” machine but it still operates…
Until it doesn’t, I guess. The battery life is already shit and I’m jealous of my partner’s Garmin.
Take CapCut off because it’s more like TikTok editing than video editing.
Divinci has a learning curve but any curve is better than learning solely on a ByteDance owned product.
Chinese manufacturing won’t allow quality Chinese cars…
At least they won’t have them in the export line.
It’s entirely possible that literally everything she claimed was false or exaggerated but there’s still enough evidence of Linus acting less than decently on the WAN show with regard to his other actions that cast doubt.
The man who took another company’s prototype and auctioned it off then claimed that they already had an agreement before contacting them somehow had zero evidence of abuse of power? We should assume that his willingness to abuse his power ends at his businesses doorstep because some of his co-workers are decent people?
You can use any US Military footage from dvidshub.net as well.
Yeah but also in Texas a (at the time) current member of the Army shot an Air Force Veteran because he got scared of the guy existing, so clearly the quality of Veterans in Texas was exponentially reduced on that day.
We’ve had inflation before and, on a historic timescale, we’ve had revolutions to correct that inflation. France existed for almost a thousand years before they had the big one.
Or, scary!, depending on who’s holding it. Guns are either a god given right or the devil’s playing depending on the presumed political leaning of those holding them.
Manchester, NH and abuse of OTC meds, yeah, that tracks.
The NRA isn’t a good idea.
If you have a society where everyone is allowed a gun, you as a gun owner cannot feel threatened by someone else holding a firearm. As an Army Sergeant, the fact that he can’t handle seeing someone else’s weapon without getting scared probably means his file contains more than a few waivers.
Punk is, to a degree, about deconstruction of a system. If ‘the system’ is built upon an appearance of aggression - angry ten foot tall brodozers and music about shooting anyone who looks at you funny - then the most punk thing to do is to dress up nice and talk about friendship, right? After all, “The Man” wants me to be an avatar of anger so, fuck him, let’s sing about flowers and shit.
But, they’re certainly not “punk rock”, that’s for sure.
A key point in your statement is ‘person’. Though it’s not universal, humans are understood to have better… Well, understanding of their actions. A vicious dog doesn’t understand that they’re vicious, they just rip and tear. A human is supposed to have that inner monologue to say “No.”
So, you release a dangerous animal on someone, you’re at fault. You kill someone, you’re at fault.
In George Floyd’s case, the cop is responsible. 1000%. I’ve been in situations, I’ve pointed a gun and I waited. Even when someone might be rigged to blow, you don’t just shoot them. Whomever called the cops isn’t responsible because the Cop should’ve been expected to be a human and not some deity who can do no wrong. Yes, everyone in America at this point should know that cops aren’t your friend but some people don’t know that.
I dunno. Spotify stopped billing me for the family plan I was paying for some years ago and at this point I’ve got five accounts mooching off of them and I’m using powershell to download gigabytes worth of music off of them…
Like, Spotify is evil but at this point I’m a negative number for them every month. I’m gonna keep on going until they decide to shut off the hose.
Oh, but I do go to concerts and buy records.
Shoot man, you gotta think about it the other way. Show them a mobile game, show them the prices, then turn around and show them purchasing power.
For instance, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Cute, aimed at kids, horrible leaf ticket practices. Broke down the pricing of one set and for the cost of ACNL and a 2DSXL - you’ve got something like a 0.8% chance of getting the whole set.
So, show that to a kid, do you want a 0.8% chance of having this set or a whole Game and System?
Granted, this was a while back - the price of those two together probably gets you a 2% chance these days.
Eh, Americans got that 24 hour news cycle brain. You can just admit to all the war crimes and not have to hide them for 50 years.
