The Posadists have too much sway over US politics.
Is this what Lt. Surge got promoted to in Pokemon Red 2/Blue 2?
Wait the executive at News Corp during the phone hacking scandal still works in journalism??
I’m mildly surprised.
.world pre-emptively blocked the piracy comms because they are ostensibly based in Germany and have to abide by EU rules re: promotion/discussion of copyright infringement.
Despite the fact that they were never even issued a warning for such an obscure internet forum, and plausible deniability because the content wasn’t even theirs, they thought it’s better be paranoid safe than sorry.
ETA: so now .world has a stricter and more draconian policy regarding the discussion of piracy than Reddit, a publically traded entity based in the US, which has even harsher copyright infringement laws.
Probably because FirstPost is not a credible new source according to Indians I know. It started off as Forbes India which then got acquired by a corporate conglomerate to push xenophobic and right wing opinion pieces. For example How the protests in the US are anti-Semitic
How America should treat “paid protestors”: Like India does
How Putin and Xi want to build a nuclear power plant on the moon
Etc. Not quite Fox News levels but it’s pretty close.
真的?不可思议。
I was informed by western media that HKers didn’t want anything to do with us filthy mainlanders.
I wonder how the kids that “fled” to England are enjoying the beautiful British cuisine and the beautiful British weather and the polite British chavs.
139 out of 193 countries recognise Palestine as a nation internationally.
Considering they include China, Indonesia, Nigeria, India AND Pakistan, Brazil and Russia, it’s more accurate to say the vast majority of homo sapiens recognise the state of Palestine
The adults in the room are praying for the US to collapse and balkanise ASAP. Even if Biden wins, the best case scenario for the world is for the US to die. Even if the Dems win the next 10 consecutive elections in a row, the US deserves to die.
Your country is an experiment based on “Hey what if we don’t want to pay taxes to the British but are ok with building on stolen land with slave labour for the purposes of (some) white guys getting the ability to get extremely rich???”
Its a failed experiment. The best argument against the existence of a just god is that your nation has not been smote out of existence by the hand of the divine.
Tomorrow, if every politician, businessman and government agent that dictates how your country is run got amnesia, and every reference and memory of your laws, your wretched constitution and how your government operates magically erased from existence, I have no doubt in my body that the ensuring nation(s) that spring up in its place will be not only better for the citizens, but better for the whole world.
It would have fewer children gunned down in places where they should be safe, fewer people dying from rationing insulin, fewer people selling their plasma just to not die from exposure, fewer minorities and family pets executed by agents of your government in the street, fewer citizens poisoned by plastic and lead in their water, and fewer people half a planet away murdered by your troops or your bombs.
A better future is possible, but it’s not from festering like maggots the the corpse of your dying empire.
P.s.: Free Palestine.
You can’t chalk up any violence against a crowd as potentially justified because there’s a saying in your language that says crowds get mad sometimes.
Starting off your post with “Having not read the story” then wildly speculating and referencing some mania from centuries ago makes you look bad.
I. NO INVESTIGATION, NO RIGHT TO SPEAK
If you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t wildly speculate in a way that gives plausible deniability to Israeli genocide.
Unfortunately I’m not a Christian, so I must reiterate:
Have you considered not being a bad human being?
Slight nitpick(a)
You wrote 西 (xī) which means west. You probably meant 习 (xí), referring to the president.
Also in “Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China” you wrote 金 (jīn) which means gold, when it should be 就.
…how often do you interact with Chinese people? Whenever I go back home to Wuhan I don’t really see much oppression happening.
Must be a new anti-白左 legislation of some sort.
.world has one disadvantage: It has to follow the laws of the Netherlands, Finland AND Germany.
So theoretically, if something’s legal for the Dutch and Finns but illegal in Germany, it’s not ok on .world. I believe it used to be smaller but I think they expanded admin teams? Idk how a single non profit website is somehow beholden to the laws of 3 separate countries.
It would be hilarious if they expanded this further. They add a country where alcohol sale is illegal? Recommendations for cocktails are now against TOS. For all. Add Singapore? Oops, discussing procurement of chewing gum is now against TOS. USA? Kinder Surprise is against TOS.
It’s Spez’s Lemmy account.
Have you considered not being a bad human being?

Tucker should be sanctioned for being a bowtie wearing shit eating reactionary named “Tucker” first and foremost.
This… is not a well written article.
I get what you mean but why didn’t the editor catch this? This paper is a part of the billionaire owned Liberty Group, why don’t they have editors?
This is just straight up misleading. It’s referring to an event last week where a Chinese submarine surfaced in the Taiwan straight. Technically. 200 KM west of Taiwan, 10km off the short of Xiamen. I am not joking, they literally state “A surfaced submarine, which appears to be a nuclear-armed Jin-class submarine, is pictured about 200km from the western coast yesterday.” in the prior article I just linked. They then proceed to use a Reuters photo of TWO nuclear submarines (dated 2018) just to fearmonger some more.
A huge non-event to get clicks from paranoid China watchers is getting milked a SECOND TIME.
The amendments also do not distinguish by species. My god! Your pet dog could be extradited to China!
Oh boy, an NGO cited. Every time you dig into these you get some gold. Lets look into “Safeguard Defender”.
Director: Peter Dahlin, a writer for the far right pro Trump anti vaxxer “newspaper” Epoch Times. Oh, that was easy. You’d think an editor would catch this. Back to it.
The ROC called it that too. So did the Qing dynasty. Because it’s been the name of the region in Mandarin since the 1700’s. The sentence is omitting “…what the Chinese have taken to calling Xinjiang since 1759”
Also, historically rebellious is a dubious claim. Most of the population of the island were the Establishment, not the Rebels in the civil war since they were refugees. If the author was talking about Aboriginal Taiwanese who went from the majority ethnicity of the island to less than 2% of the population today, I guess they did try to rebel before getting gunned down.
This entire section is just padding for words. Dedicating 4 paragraphs to say absolutely nothing. “China normally does these military exercises near an event like Nancy Pelosi visiting, but this time nothing was happening, what are those inscrutable Chinese plotting?”
Ah ha! It’s because last Thursday, 2 US officials along with representatives of Taiwan’s 12 allies, and as well as those from other like-minded nations, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, the EU, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Poland and the UK.. Disregarding the fact that he copy and pasted the list verbatim from his colleague at the Taipei Times including the error of implying The Vatican sent a representative to Taiwan for a 1 day secret summit, as well as representatives of the nation of “the EU”. China is mad that this meeting that definitely happened (and also we are the only news to have reported on it in 3 days) so they had a submarine resurface 200km off the coast of Taiwan and fly planes in the ADIZ, which conveniently covers mainland China.
Who’s the author for this article that would write like this? Let’s check the biography he wrote about himself Oh cool, he’s wearing a fedora and suspenders.
“On turning 19 years old, I decided to take a semester off of university and visit Taiwan in 1988. I fell in love with the country, and that semester off has lasted most of my life… As a co-founder of Taiwan Report, in writing for various publications, in large Facebook groups I founded” He’s a college dropout who started a Youtube page that gets literally 2-3 digit views
