Shorts fucking suck. It keeps recommending to me exactly four types of videos:

• stuff I have already watched, liked and commented – sometimes a few minutes prior
• videos I’m wildly uninterested with and systematically mark as irrelevant or instantly skip, yet it keeps bringing up videos of the same subject
• very old old “news” shorts
• stuff of people I’m subscribed to – which is fine, just not what makes great algorithms

Meanwhile, in a very short time, tiktok has managed to make me discover communities I had no idea I’d like to watch content from, while subtly managing to stop showing me some of the content from those communities I don’t enjoy

It’s not “some quirks”, gamebryo completely killed any ambition in Starfield with how utterly ancient and impractical it is. Most issues with Starfield, even some gameplay issues, boil down to the engine or the things they had to do to try and mitigate its shittiness. This led the modding community to pretty much ditch Starfield, despite how moddable the game is.

And sure, modding will suffer, but other games with different engines manage to have modded content too.

Like the “pause music” button, which stopped working entirely on my mac no matter if you press it on the builtin or external keyboard, the multi desktop which keep fucking up and putting apps on top of other apps that are fullscreen, making them barely usable…

We agree on the external device part though, it can decide to stop working with stuff you used for months for no good reason
