So people cant access “unrated” 18+ content they found on Google and then have people get mad that the content was NSFW or restricted.
Its essentially a “We dont know what your going to find here and dont want lawsuits” protection.

Oh is this the new “Gaslighting”?
We have an Excel expert, its in no way his job but god damn that man is helpful. He is also a combative asshole when he is in a mood.
People are like “How do you put up with him” and I dont tell them “Because he found ways to make 2 hours of administrative work take 30 minutes.”
I imagine that the viewer count far exceeds the comments, Im not going to look for examples to cite because I dont want to wind up on a list myself.
Point is that the act of wanting to identify people based on some content they watched is simultaneously incredibly worrying and absolutely understandable, the problem is that if you allow it for one thing then adding on second thing doesnt seem like such a stretch and then the slippery slope happens and hypothetically you cant get a government job because you watched a video on communism.
Broadly speaking this is terrible in its implications and I am NOT defending this practice based on “wont somebody think of the children” because of the slippery slope argument.
However, there is a almost hidden in plain sight emporium of borderline CP buried in the YT servers. Videos of peoples kids in dance/gymnastics/swimming costumes and the comments are disturbing in their “sanitary” nature… its mostly timestamps. Timestamps of when the 8yo girl has her legs spread as part of a dance routine and stuff like that.
Its a shame that for the people to be protected from broad govt surveillance we also have to protect that shit.
Even in a cradle the “phone brain” is real.
I got a text and opened it, was a link to a YT video from a friend and without thinking I just opened it and let the video play and was like “Hang the fuck on a second, IM DRIVING WHY THE FUCK WOULD I OPEN THAT!?!”
Once I caught myself doing it I was really annoyed at myself.
Jaws 4 “Ive not seen the movie, Ive heard its terrible. But I’ve seen the house it built and its fantastic”
That depends, is nobody else in your house capable of carrying a bag out to the bin or breaking down a box before it goes in the recycling?
If they are into each other Im out of a fuckin job. Literally and figuratively.
She loaded it, but poorly. Which is a vast improvement on my wifes not loading it at all.
Its not a “scam” by definition because you are getting what you pay for. But yeah its predatory as fuck.
A standard Schooner glass is 425ml, which means you can pour a 375ml can into one either with ice or leaving enough room for a beer with a good head.
375ml is very common in Australia.
You arent wrong.
Lemmy is not welcoming to regular people who want to talk about normie shit.
Can of spray cooking oil. Light spray on the windscreen, they hit the wipers and it turns into a cloudy oily mess.
Edit: Its dangerous and stupid, dont do it. I have however had it done to me, its every bit as annoying as it sounds.
Snow Crash is one of the greatest books ever written.
That worked because Kimmy was delightful, bright and lovable.
Or… they parked over to one side to keep the other side of the space open for someone in a small car who is also disabled.
Its a case by case basis. Local news is probably a “yeah ok” or a niche hobby website that isnt an AI generated thinly veiled excuse for amazon affiliate links.
National organisation that still puts most of their shit behind a paywall and bombards me with bullshit. LOL, fuck off.
