Thank you I tried Mojeek a few days ago but I forgot what it was called. the site for mojeek is mojeek.com btw.
Btw If you are not sure which instance of searx to pick look for one with your country code.
youcare.world is still up but that is based on google and I am not sure how legit the tree planting is. Not to mention their privacy policy mentions facebook which is always a red flag. https://youcare.world/privacy?l=en
Oh startpage is starting to work again maybe it was under extra load from people using it while bing is down?
Funny thing is the way I found out bing was down is I searched for startpage in duckduckgo to try it thinking it might be a good alternative but when DDG wasnt working I tried it on ecosia. which was also down once I finally opened start page it wasn’t working either. Its all bing all the way down.
I think having all the search engines being front ends for just bing and google has just revealed an obvious weakness.
To be fair I would consider them separate world records due to being separate names?
This makes me feel sick to my stomach I cannot vote but I can share this in my instances local politics sub.
There is also a template on github. https://github.com/lynnpepin/arbitration-opt-out-templates/tree/main/Discord
Wait I already opted out of arbitration 5 or 6 years ago do I need to do it again?
awesome thanks I did (xz --version) to check and it is using an unaffected version.
Im new to Linux does this include linux mint since it is based on Debian?
Basically a Bing front-end that uses ad money to plant trees.
This is only what is reported it is likely way higher unfortunately.
Ecosia added ai chat which I think runs on the same thing as copilot. I don’t see the point though and would like to be able to hide the ai chat option.
It should be illegal to force people to use generative ai to do things it is not needed for.
Seeing Microsoft’s plans to add ai to windows was the last straw that made me change to linux.
My guess is it is a bit of both.
True I wonder how anti-vaxxers will react to this.
If a 62 year old can get vaccinated over 200 times without negative consequences they can get vaccinated at least once.
Should we even be calling it the open web at this point?
