Oh, yeah, my local wore off halfway through. When they applied more, it felt like they lit my nuts on fire.

My recovery was honestly pretty bad. I was bed-ridden for about 2 weeks, then 8-ish months of aching pain all day every day. Not actually sure when it finally cleared up, I just realized I hadn’t felt the pain in a while. My first nut was about a month after the procedure, and that was also a very unpleasant experience.

My case is abnormal, but even more rare is the guys that continue to be in pain for the rest of their lives. Didn’t find out about that until I started digging deeper because of my persistent pain.

That said, I still 100% recommend getting it done.

Gotta get creative to get any decent addresses these days. I’ve been trying to establish a company name (with an available, short-ish, simple URL) and it’s surprisingly difficult, even getting into weird TLDs. Really annoying, especially since a lot of them aren’t actually being used.

Finally found a 9 character made-up word that I could get the .us TLD for, and I think that’s about as good as it’s going to get.

I literally said in my comment that Soylent is a splurge that could be replaced with oatmeal. I don’t get it to be cheap, I get it because I like it and it’s pretty good nutritionally. Make that change and you’re under $30, like I usually am outside of that.

More importantly I was replying to your “only ramen or rice and beans” comment, because I don’t eat either of those. I could reduce my costs further if I did, but I like what I eat and don’t need to save money on my food budget.

I spend about that if you exclude my splurge on Soylent for breakfast (substitute oatmeal, for example). I eat wraps that are 90% veggies for lunch and the premix Birdseye veggie/chicken dinners where I can get 2 meals per bag.

I just moved ~30 minutes away and saved $100/mo as well. Insane difference.

You also need to be careful when deleting your account - when you do, they’ll send you a “there was an issue with your request” email that tries to get you to register again by prompting you to “log in” to fix it. The log in is creating a password for a new account.

So although charging an EV is by no means fossil-fuel-free, it’s considerably less fossil-fuel than an ICE car.

That was my point. Even in the worst case it’s comparable to 60mpg… No ICE gets 60mpg. And in a decade it’ll be even better.

Last time I looked (a few years ago), a 100% coal powered EV had similar emissions to a 60mpg car.

I doubt anywhere will still be coal powered in a decade, with how fast plants are closing. But that EV will still be there on its 3rd owner.

It’s funny because if Linux was where it is now, 10ish years ago, I probably would have stuck with it. All I cared about then was basic computering and gaming, both of which are well handled at this point.

Problem is now I’ve spent a decade honing my skills on specialized programs that don’t have good replacements, and realistically even if they did, compatibility and years of learning specific programs have locked me in to Windows.

I’m about to try to find tv dinners that taste good or something. I legit starve sometimes because I literally can’t eat it.

Impossible has some vegi-based microwave dinners that are about $6 a pop at Walmart, and are absolutely fantastic. The “chicken” ones are a bit high on the sugar content though.

Here it’s Popeye’s… which they seem to have at least maintained a decent quality/price ratio. Their wait times are atrocious though. Zaxby’s is even worse, but they at least have a big enough parking lot to stay out of the road. That line has taken a half hour to move up 1 car length before.

And to be honest, before I buy a burger for €5 I buy a Kebab or Shawarma which beat every burger in taste and amount of food

Wind is finite, and there has actually been research done to estimate the impact slower winds would have (a few degrees iirc), it’s just that this is massively offset by the pros of using wind.

Tesla is getting hit hard and fast. I watch car news and it’s still mostly manufacturers announcing new model years that are significantly more expensive than before.

Housing really became an investment in the late 80s to 90s, that’s part of what drove the McMansion boom. Not for corporations but individuals, who are actually the largest driver of prices not adjusting. Don’t get me wrong, corporations are buying an increasingly large chuck and this will be a problem, but right now it’s not the big one. In my area there are an absurd number of houses for sale compared to normal. All of them are overpriced, almost none of them are selling, and yet they increase the list price every month like clockwork. These are individuals, not corporations. Until these individuals accept that the house they bought for $50k isn’t worth $1.5m, prices will not go down.

I mean neither of those is a problem, the problem is that prices aren’t adjusting to match.

But housing won’t go down because it’s become an investment, and cars won’t go down because during covid manufacturers learned only selling expensive models increases profit margins.

If anything, high rates are good. They encourage saving and curb consumerism, which are both things Americans at large can use help with.

Beats my state which passed a DC fast charge tax of nearly $3 per kwh while suspending gas taxes.

$120 in taxes per charge for a fairly normal EV. Yay.
