Not always. Both Trump’s NY fraud conviction, and election interference (hush money) felonies came out of the Michael Cohen hearing, specifically from AOC questions.
Your overall point is absolutely correct, though. It’s even more frustrating when it’s easy to see how powerful these hearings can be.
This was another case by the conservative law network where the facts were either made up, or so badly misrepresented that they might as well have been made up. This mayor basically walked into the company’s office and said, “I got you those contracts. Give me money if you want any more in the future.”
You should probably not be asking smug rhetorical questions when you don’t actually understand how the federal government works.

Just use your hand. If the beer is in a bottle, leave it so the neck is sticking out of the ice water and spin it that way (this also works very well for wine.) If it’s a can, stick it in vertically, and spin it for 30 seconds at a time or whatever you can stand.

As to why emoji feels the need to make his own “anti-woke” AI, it’s because he thinks that, at some point in the future, our AI overlords will decide to cull white people to meet “forced diversity quotas.” I’m not kidding.

The social media algorithms were definitely much different in 2014. They tended to promote links to outside articles and trending topics, even if those links were to BuzzFeed listicles. In 2015/16 they had all changed to trying to keep people engaged on the original site, so they started pushing rage bait that would get people arguing in the comments.
In 2014, everybody was talking about what color that dress was. In 2015, Breitbart was like the number 3 most popular shared “news” site on Facebook.
They’re intentionally misrepresenting what RCV is and how it works, playing on their base’s fear of voter fraud (which itself is code for Hispanic people voting.)
That sounds like more of an assault than a disorderly conduct.
This is one of those situations where I like to imagine what would have happened if the guy did that to a cop. Likely a litany of charges, including assaulting an officer, and would have had the shit beaten out of him.

This is undermined by the multiple witnesses in the trial which just ended, who repeatedly testified that Trump insists on hand signing every single check that is for more than a certain amount of money. It has varied over time, but usually something relatively low, like $10k. He is characterized as a relentless micromanager when it comes to money, and is famous for (and constantly brags about) fighting every financial charge, and never paying a penny more than he has to.
It would not be reasonable to assume that large payouts or appointments to high up positions within any Trump org could happen without Trump’s knowledge and approval.

This was essentially his exact defense in that NY criminal trial, and the jury didn’t buy it.
I use the term legacy media all the time. It refers to well-known, corporate owned media outlets, both TV and paper. The kinds of outlets that usually publish unvarnished lies from right-wingers, lest they be accused of being “liberal” and are therefore both-sidesing the US right into fascism.
I don’t know what the person you’re responding to is on about, but “legacy media” is definitely a real term.
I wouldn’t say so. She asked direct, pointed questions about how the Trump org had over valued properties and other assets in order to get more favorable loans. She knew exactly what she was doing during that hearing.
