Thanks! I didn’t think their live feeds were paywalled. I’ll add it to the post.
It’s probably worth noting though that the only distro Valve officially supports is the latest Ubuntu LTS running KDE/Plasma, Gnome, or Unity. That doesn’t mean you’ll have problems on other distros – and you probably won’t! – but Ubuntu is the distro they’re testing on. Valve also maintains Ubuntu-specific troubleshooting resources as well.
Incredible news for us! Thanks, Reddit! 🎉
Great news for Loops!
And it wasn’t announced until pretty late that she was. She was teasing it on her podcast like ‘stay tuned, I know serious people with money who are ready to launch something big’
You don’t need to convince me. I’m Fediverse all day every day :)
I’ve never used post and I haven’t heard anyone talk about them in a long time but they were pushed as a big deal after Musk bought Twitter. Kara Swisher and a lot of rich tech bros were trying to convince everyone they were the Next Big Thing around the time of the big wave of migrations to Mastodon.
This is a conspiracy/propaganda site.
They’re also banned from Wikipedia for publishing “false or fabricated information.”
It was Knight Specialty Insurance Company. Owned by billionaire Don Hankey, who got rich doing subprime car loans. Apparently he’s bailed Trump out before with loans against Trump Tower and Doral golf course.
After each verdict Trump has a 30-day window to come up with cash or a bond to appeal. If he doesn’t meet that requirement they can immediately begin seizing his assets. If he meets that requirement, enforcement will be stayed pending the appeal. He also can’t appeal if he doesn’t meet that requirement. With interest, he needs to come up with close to half a billion to appeal all three civil cases he lost.
More of a political theatre troupe than a political party
But it’s strange that they’d work through the weekend to pass it if it’s just DOA in the house. Republicans seem to think that attempting to add border provisions but being denied by Democrats is more beneficial to them politically than actually passing those provisions. Hopefully it passes, but I’m skeptical too.
A fair criticism. Post updated! :)
Yep, this obscure weirdo is plainly wrong.
And Jesus wept for there were no more worlds to conquer
IANAL, but…
This is just a civil trial but it’s pretty high stakes. Engoran already found him guilty of fraud and revoked his business license in NY (which was stayed for now). If he rules that Trump must pay $300M, Trump will have to put up a $360M bond to appeal it or else they’ll pretty quickly start coming after his assets. And there’s no way he’ll get protected by bankruptcy for willful fraud either.
I actually can’t remember the potential penalty for the hush money case though. Maybe they figure he’s already fucked to the max here so it couldn’t get much worse?
