Thank you for backing up my public awareness thingie. People are kinda dumb sometimes so they’ll read “it gets you way too drunk way too fast” and they’ll miss the part where, “but no you’ll hate it.”

In this particular warning, adderall in your system dramatically increases the way you metabolize alcohol. Two swallows of rum and I am wasted. It feels very, very dangerous (alcohol poisoning-wise.)

I might be drunk, but “Wrong, it’s tea,” made me laugh a lot.

Also, this is a Public Awareness Announcement. If you have ADHD and you take stimulant medication, don’t mix alcohol. You will experience regret.

The Brunch Amendment of 2008 lists all the people welcome to brunch and explicitly states that allies are allowed.

I call bullshit.

Obviously that’s the case. I didn’t make a statement contrary to it. My point was “even if it’s not guaranteed, some is better than none,” not, “be happy to get anything at all.”

We should be pissed we don’t have guaranteed access to the meds that make us function! It’s our entire lives in jeopardy! But the person I’m replying to doesn’t yet know that they can have at least some help, and that was the point I was making.

If this seems aggressive it’s because I’m constantly being attacked on the internet for saying something I didn’t say.

I mean… it doesn’t need time to build in your system. ADHD meds work from after you take them until they wear off (the extended release is about 7 and a half hours for me) so even if you can only get them sporadically, some help is better than none.

I promise many of us are not.

Mine has a setting where if a number calls you once, it blocks. If it calls you a second time, it goes through. And it works! I use it all the time.

But Mr. Peppy was a lover, not a fighter! He only drank the bones of sheep!

I want to say (cuz I’ve said it a million times) that it can seem like occurrences are going up when really, people like me never got help. I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 34 and that was while getting treatment for depression!

There’s a lot more cases like mine than we know about, so even if we are only catching up to the “normal” number of neurologically atypical people, it’s going to seem like we are gaining more cases.

I wanted to tell you that kind of cheap pivoting technique doesn’t work here. I’m entirely against genocide and stand with Palestine, but this grandstanding is intellectually dishonest and makes you look like an entire clown.
