God, Tawny would be fun to hang out with. Also, how did I not know Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell were married? They’re a Trek family, and that fact just went whoosh over me.
I’m surprisingly level-headed for being a walking knot of anxiety.
Ask me anything.
I also develop Tesseract UI for Lemmy/Sublinks

I have a friend I can recommend that to (they love Reubens and would probably love that) but I am not a fan of fermented/pickled foods (only beverages lol!). So that rules out for me things like kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles, etc. Just never developed a taste for them and find the smell offputting.
Cheese steak stromboli is my favorite kind, so that sounds like a winner to me :)
My ex better half was vegetarian (I wasn’t), but I made an effort while we were together. A lot of those efforts stuck, and I’m still cooking a lot of vegetarian meals just for myself.
These “meatless crumbles” are my “go to” when I’m wanting to add something meaty to a sauce or dish. Perhaps they’ll work for you? They’d probably work well for a Stromboli
No, but I just searched for it and am going to give it a try.
Ad blocking is a first line antivirus defense, and Google just neutered it in Chrome…and then this happens.
Lol, yeah.
The Slashdot article that led me to the original was slanted to say “legacy IT” equipment was the cause and had the distinct subtext that had they been using cloud for everything, they would have been fine.
Nope, this is 100% failure to provision and secure equipment correctly. And cloud doesn’t mean anything for security, especially given how many sensitive files have been left in wide-open, publicly accessible S3 buckets.
Further, while only licensed device makers are permitted to modify Google’s AndroidTV, any device maker is free to make changes to open source versions. That leaves open the possibility that the devices were infected in the supply chain and were already compromised by the time they were purchased by the end user.
It’s ArsTechnica, so I wouldn’t think they’re intentionally spreading FUD around FOSS, but that bit did live a bad taste in my mouth.
If it ever happens, absolutely :)
Oh, yeah, I just like the T-Deck form factor. Was going to use Meshtastic as the base but the ESP32 itself would be the messenger (e.g. wouldn’t need the phone).
As long as it’ll still accept a charge and isn’t a spicy pillow, yeah, absolutely. I’ve never had great luck soldering onto those little pads but it’s certainly doable (though I’ll admit my soldering skills aren’t the greatest).
I’ve been wanting to play with Meshtastic for a while and was looking at using something like the LilyGo T-Deck with its blackberry-like keyboard to make cool little off-grid messengers for camping/hiking trips.
Is this for your Meshtastic board (from your other post)? If so, that’s a great up-cycle and should work well with the onboard charging.
I have a few I’ve saved for similar purpose, but I’m not sure about shipping them.
Like someone else said maybe check with vape shops / dispensaries in your area to see if they collect them for recycling.
Lol, I’d accept that. Maybe he’s the template for future engineering holograms.
Computer, activate the Emergency Engineering Hologram.
Holo’brien: Jaysus! Your warp core’s knackered. Nothing I can do. Deactivate emergency engineering hologram.
(I don’t think any incarnation of O’Brien would give up so easily; just playing off of your Wolverine clip lol)
Yeah, I’ve read similar that it was “just a job” from his view, but you’re right: if he’s offered a role and is available, he’d probably take it.
Even if he just pops up for a cameo as an Emergency Engineering Hologram or something. Maybe in Academy they find a 900 year old pattern buffer floating in deep space, and O’Brien pops out like Scotty in Relics. I would not be picky about how they bring him in, I guess, is what I’m saying. lol
Yep.
Maybe he’ll be more amenable to a voice role if Prodigy keeps going or another animated series comes along.
Pretty much my thoughts (and experience) as well.
I was thinking it could be used as a kind of exposure therapy to help with that aversion. At least, I’d be willing to try it out for that purpose.
Do not attempt to adjust your set. This is a Streaming Freedom Video bulletin. The cable hack will last exactly 60 seconds. It cannot be traced, it cannot be stopped and it is the only free voice left in the city.
Deer when they hear my car coming:
Oh, that’s a cool little easter egg. It made sense in context but cool that there’s a meta layer to it.
